POKER RANK OF HANDS
The rank of hands is always the same – immaterial what type of poker you are playing.
In short, a poker hand consists of 5 cards and fall into one of several categories such as flush, straight or two pair. The player with the highest ranking hand in a round of poker is the winner.
Royal Flush
A royal flush is the highest hand a player can have. The cards are ace, king, queen, jack, and 10 all in the same suit
Straight Flush
A straight flush is a 5 card straight – all of the same suit.
Four of a Kind or Quads
Four of a Kind or Quads are four cards of equal rank.

Full House or Full Boat
A full house, or full boat, contains three cards of one rank and a pair of another rank.

Flush
A flush is when any five cards are of the same suit.

Straight
A straight is a hand comprising of five cards of sequential rank. It is interesting to know that every possible straight will contain either a 5 or a 10.

Three of a Kind
Any 3 cards of the same value example 3 Jacks (Hearts, Diamonds, Spades)

Two Pair
A two pair is two cards of one rank and another two cards of another rank.

Pair
One pair is two cards of the same rank.

High Card
The hand with the highest card(s) wins.

When a tie occurs with more than one player holding either four of a kind, three of a kind, two pair, or one pair, the highest unpaird side card, known as the ‘kicker’, wins the pot.
For example:
Player A: Ac, Ah, 7s, 7h, Qh
Player B: As, Ah, 7s, 7h, 9d
Player A wins the hand with the Q kicker.
